Make A Statement With Bathroom Wall Panels

Explore how bathroom wall panels can be used to create a statement in your next bathroom project.

Creating a statement in the bathroom can be done in a variety of ways – through your choice of colour, texture, or fittings. Bathroom wall panels are perfect for creating a statement, while offering practicalities like easy cleaning and maintenance.

Bathroom wall panels can be used across the whole bathroom, or in specific areas, to create a standout design. You can be as subtle or as bold as you like – the overarching aim should be to create a space that lets your personality shine and puts a smile on your face every time you enter it.

The shower enclosure is a great place to inject some fun. Incorporating a splash of colour or a funky design can help segment the space from the rest of the room – this is especially impactful if you have a shower room, rather than a cubicle.

Statement shower panels immediately draw the eye to that area, creating the illusion of more space, which can be rather impactful if you have a narrow bathroom.

A bold and bright shower or wet room can be the perfect way to add a point of interest and inject personality. Patterns are a great way of adding fun into a design and when carefully considered, needn’t overwhelm the space. Tile-effect finishes, such as Abruzzo, are a firm favourite of mine and is a great way to dip your toes into pattern while still providing a neutral colour palette.

We all know that different colours can impact our mood. If you like to shower in the morning, incorporating a bright colour pop in your bathroom can provide the perfect wake up call, especially on dark and dreary days. Sunflower and Orange are the perfect hues to pep you up and put a smile on your face.

Feature Wall

By incorporating a feature wall into your design, you can create a design that is not only eye-catching, but fun and unique. A feature wall is a single statement wall in a room that creates a focal point, drawing attention towards that area of the space. You can be as creative or as subtle as you please – as you’re only decorating one wall, it gives you the opportunity to be creative.

Feature walls are a great option if you have limited space as they naturally draw attention, creating depth. With the right bathroom panel design, a feature wall can also provide contrast and interest – whether this is through texture or colour.

The options are endless when it comes to a feature wall, you could opt for a pop of colour, tile-effect bathroom panels, or a striking natural finish like a strong-veined marble. We would recommend pairing your feature wall with a more neutral panel to ensure the room is balanced – white, beige and light grey finishes are perfect pairing options.

If you have a tight budget, or your bathroom needs an upgrade, then just refitting one wall can create a huge difference, while saving you time and money.

Mix Panels with Tiles

Often, homeowners will opt for either tiles or panels – but mixing the two can create a gorgeous design that allows you to incorporate different textures and finishes.

If you plan to mix the two together, we recommend opting for bathroom panels in the shower and by the bath, and tiles around the rest of the perimeter. Having panels in those areas means you don’t run the risk of mould build-up over time. They’re also low maintenance and easy to clean as there’s no unsightly grouting.

Stone-finish bathroom panel, like marble or slate, pair beautifully with classic tiling options, adding contrast in a considered way.
