1986
Mermaid Panels first opened its doors in our factory based in North England. The aim? To provide modern solutions to old problems. We’re here to create innovative shower panels that are not only quick to install, but easy to maintain for the homeowner, too.
1986-2004
We quickly established ourselves as one of the leading brands. We’ve always been about one thing – panels. We don’t just rely on what works, we’ll always be updating our product range to keep us ahead of the game.
2005
Our first antibacterial laminates were first launched using exclusive microban technology, making cleaning a breeze.
2014
Our modern Acrylic panel system was launched in both the UK and Europe. As with all of our panels, Acrylic is a perfect alternative to tiles, but also a great alternative to glass! With its stunning matt or gloss finish, it gives the look of glass but can cut down on-site making installation simple and fast. We now have a huge range of Acrylic panels to suit any bathroom colour scheme – bright yellow, neutral beige or even unique patterned decors.
2017
We joined the Shore Laminates family, combining both our knowledge, products and world-class expertise in laminates.
2020
Our Elite range is our most advanced shower panel solution yet, introduced in 2020. With our patented technology, you can achieve completely seamless designs, with no trims required thanks to its 100% waterproof core. Our Elite panels come with postformed edges, creating a sophisticated, premium finish, without the premium price tag.
